We don’t currently offer Building Regulations drawings or structural design. Where a project needs those, we’ll say so plainly and point you towards who can help.

Drawings from someone who has actually built the thing
G.Clark-Jones Plans is run by a director of a construction company with over a decade of hands-on experience across residential, agricultural and equestrian projects. That background means the drawings are grounded in what’s actually buildable, not just what looks right on paper.
Day to day, that experience covers everything from client communication and project delivery to working through the kind of on-site issues that only show up once a job is under way, which is exactly the perspective that goes into every set of drawings produced here.
Common questions
Are you an architect?
No. “Architect” is a title protected by law, and only those registered with the Architects Registration Board can use it. G.Clark-Jones Plans does not hold that title and never claims to. What we do offer is planning application and permitted development drawings, which is a legitimate, separate service anyone is entitled to provide.
Do I need an architect, or will planning drawings be enough?
For most straightforward extensions, conversions and outbuildings, accurate planning drawings are exactly what a planning application needs. More complex or architecturally ambitious projects may benefit from an architect’s design input, and we’ll always say so honestly if that looks like your situation.
Do you provide Building Regulations drawings?
Not currently. The focus here is planning application and permitted development drawings. If your project also needs Building Regulations drawings or structural calculations, we’ll point you towards who can help once planning is sorted.
What areas do you cover?
The service runs UK-wide. Many projects can be surveyed remotely from your own photos and measurements, with a measured survey arranged where it makes more sense for the project.
